Yeah, this board has been pretty civil and I didn't see that as trolling. It's rare to see a public school VA team with four D1 commits and they are being regarded as the best (or at least one of the best) teams in the state. I might be wrong but I don't think LB has a lacrosse state title. This could be their year - we will see if it all comes together for them this season.

Madlax ranked the teams and LB is the top public school that is at least a little hype

Surprising to say the least. If they have so much hype you'd think they would want to prove themselves against a local private school. Guess not, so they will have to prove themselves against a fantastic Madison or Battlefield team.

It is generally good to be battle tested come playoff time. LB will likely only play three competitive games during the regular season (Madison, Robinson, and Battlefield). Madison and Robinson will play six or more. Madison has Robinson, Yorktown, Lake Braddock, Landon, Battlefield, and some team from Colorado that has won 3 of last 4 state championships. Robinson has Madison, Yorktown, Whitman, Georgetown Prep, Lake Braddock, and Battlefield.

Agree about team chemistry and coaching. Lake Braddock clearly has the most high end talent. Madison has better coaching and the team plays together all year round (VEL, Top Caliber, Turkey Shootout, East Coast Invitational). How many times did we hear during VEL or Turkey Shootout that Lake Braddock lost because its D1s weren't there? We will see if LB can capitalize on its studs this year.

until someone in the NOVA region dethrones Madison, they will remain the cream of the crop.

Lake Braddock will have to prove it on the actual field this Spring

After Lake Braddock's postseason performance last year, I'd call them anything but dangerous

Madison first has to get past Robo in its first game.

That will be a great game and match up!

I think it's going to come down to team chemistry to get those teams to achieve their total potential.

Madison is deep and talented. Lake Braddock seniors are probably the best players in the state at their positions.

I think it will come down to the benches and who will surprise from the underclassmen.

Coaching will be key to keep these teams pointed in the right direction and disciplined.

Agreed. Madison and Lake Braddock play on 4/3 so they can settle it on the field.
