I get it, OP. I might be annoyed too. It’s not law as so many posters are crying, but it could be restaurant policy. It wouldn’t ruin my day but such black and white thinking is annoying.

I'd be ticked with myself for not bringing my ID. Safeway refused to sell me a bottle of wine a couple of years ago because I didn't have my ID with me. I was 49 at the time.

My 78 year old mom has gotten carded recently buying wine at the giant. She gets really agitated about it because she doesn’t like people knowing her age. I think she’s being silly as it’s clearly their policy to card everyone but it is pretty ridiculous.
