She's super uptight. Also, watching the news on the idiot box doesn't exactly disqualify you from being an airhead.

I think you should do this, OP, because she can and should do much better than you.

If she were insecure, she'd have gone along with this "joke" Kudos for her for calling him out. He needs to grow up or find someone who actually thinks his lame jokes are funny.

Uhhhh....yes. Guys can rib each other all the time and not make the biggest deal over every perceived "slight".

+1. If you stay, she will have you dead-eyed and broken living a life of quiet desperation in 5 years.

Get out now!

Honestly, this. She’s only 30 but was willing to give some damaged goods 10 years her senior a chance? She obviously has some problem with critical thinking.

It’s OP who is dumb and insecure. An intelligent person knows that you can like celebrity gossip and be an intellect.

How is essentially calling someone stupid a joke?
Even without her reaction it wasn’t even funny.

It’s sarcasm. If she can’t have friendly banter back, then he should find a woman who will joke back with him, stupid joke or not. But not whine and demand an apology like her shit don’t stank.

It’s about compatibility. They just aren’t compatible. It seems like she wants a serious guy, nothing wrong with that. But these two seem incompatible.

I married a guy my age with a great sense of humor from the Northeast. He’s handsome, smart, successful and he never puts me down. You’re on the edge of 40, divorced with a poor sense of what women want. At 30, she can do a lot better.

This.

Only nuts read National Enquirer and Star Magazine. Your words were biting and demeaning.
Only nuts and airhead women follow
celebrity gossip. So there is that.

Wrong.

I bet all of my money OP is the sensitive one between the two.

Are you sarcastic by nature?
