He’s trying to turn nuclear power plants into dirty bombs. That’s nuts.
Link?
Why are you even on a political message board if you clearly don't follow any news? First his troops attack Chernobyl

then they attack the largest nuclear plant in Europe.

These links don’t support what you said - that Putin is trying to get nuclear plants to make dirty bombs. That’s ridiculous. Russia has tons of nuclear weapons and material to make dirty bombs, it doesn’t need to get it from a Ukrainian power plant.
He wants the power plants for several other reasons - he has planted a narrative before the invasion that the Ukrainians have been trying to make nuclear weapons and Russia had to defend itself. Then more recently they tried the story that Ukraine was making the dirty bomb. Probably he wanted to seize the power plants and probably plant some kind of fake story to that effect. The IEAE has prebutted that story by saying there is no evidence that Ukraine was building a bomb.

Another, more classic military reason Russia wants Zaporizhia nuclear plant is that it supplies half of Ukraine’s power. Putin can make the seige and bombardment of cities and all comms that much harder if he disconnects the grid from the plant.
Also, Crimea has had water and power supply problems since it was occupied by Russia, so Russia probably though to keep control of a power plant if it wanted to keep the South of Ukraine between Donbas and Moldova.
PP, if you’re going to be rude and snarky to another PP and chide her for not knowing what is going on - you should at least know what’s going on.
