Has anyone read History of Wolves? Many people love it and it was short listed for the Man Booker Prize, but I thought it was morally bankrupt - beautifully written, but just horrible.

I really loved reading through the point of view of a dog. But I feel like the author got it all wrong. Dogs love being dogs. It bummed me out that this dog thought it would be important to be human.

Absolutely loved this book. Cried for the last hour or so. It just had an effect on me.


I'm the PP from both threads who loved this book. It was the "Willem" scene that utterly shocked me.

Huge support. It got Book of the Month Club and was a Reese Pick. That's what it takes now for most any book to work. It was definitely just okay to me, but was fast paced if you could suspend your disbelief.

Oh Wonder Boys is one of my favorite movies. It inspired me to try to read some Michael Chabon, but I couldn't get through either of the books I tried!
