My DC, who is a recent alum so Schlissel was the pres. during his whole time, is happy he's gone. He was not well liked by students.

PP was responding to a supposed account of how big donors perceived him. Primary responsibility of the UofM president is fundraising, and Victors for Michigan was a huge success. I don’t believe that regents, who are state elected officials, do any fundraising at all though they do attend fundraising events. Your son’s account may be accurate, but not responsive to the point about what big donors thought of him. Many university presidents are disliked by the students, it’s a not uncommon phenomenon.
