Looks like I’m heading to Frederick for shopping and restaurants. What is wrong with our politicians?
Drunk on power
That article is nearly a month old. I highly doubt a vaccine passport will pass.

This is America. We don’t need to show papers to get into a restaurant. They can ask all they want, because the law will require them to do so. But I’m not complying. I’ll politely say no thank you, and walk right past.
They asked. They fulfilled their govt-imposed requirement. I refused. So at that point. it’s on me, not them. They’re absolved of responsibility. And I’m happy to be arrested for noncompliance, because I’d like to be the test case.
Yeah, regardless of whether someone personally is vaccinated, all citizens in this country should be disturbed by the idea of vaccine mandates. One day it will be something that we disagree with that we’re being forced to get, and there will be a precedent then. Just remember that. I’d rather reject all mandates.
I disagree. If vaccines were 95 percent effective against infectious disease then I would have no problem with a mandate, and it would make sense. But given they are probably less than 50 percent effective against omicron by this measure, I don’t think we can justify the hassle, let alone the infringement of liberties.

In our county, with the sky high vaccination rate, it's pointless. Omicron is infecting everyone, even the boosted (me!).
The passport idea won't solve anything, it's an outdated idea.
Sounds exactly like something the County Council would embrace.![]()
Like they just did in DC. They already cited the fact that DC passed the vaccine passport as a reason to pass it in MoCo.
I find it sad and pathetic that the quality of governance in MoCo has fallen so far that they just now copy everything that DC does. I really cannot believe it and it makes me really concerned for the future.

in DC you can literally just say "I have a religious exemption" when going into a bar or whatever and you don't need to produce any kind of proof of the exemption - bowser stated this at one of her recent pressers. so these mandates are literally a clown show and do nothing to "protect" people.
