Why is it that conservatives send their kids to liberal schools, and liberals can’t send their kids anywhere that doesn’t have a majority liberal view…who’s close minded here?? Are they afraid that their kid may be exposed to conservative views??

Boom

Conservative schools tend to be religious. People don’t want that.

Seriously. I would like for DCs significant loved ones to be able to go drop him off or go to his graduation without being considered a common murderer by the local state.

The Ohio and PA LACs are taking the first hit but eventually may spread to the NE ones, too. It also shows in rising popularity of colleges like Northeastern, Temple, College of Charleston, etc.

Couldn't agree more, DD started at one that seemed like a great fit. But once she got there it was so boring compared to her friends instagram experiences. Transferred to a university in a city and is much happier.

I don't know that SLACs are falling out of favor. DC first focused on mid-sized universities but after all the visits, narrowed down the final list to almost entirely on SLACS.

Was admitted ED at Colby where the admit rate has fallen from 16% a few years ago to 9% last year.

It’s always been a school for kids with rich daddies and foreign jet set types. I’d never send a normal, middle class (or even UMC) kid to U-M absent a full ride scholarship.
