indirectly you may be right, but the knee-jerk, immediate reaction, which is the only speed people pay attention to these days, is to close school to stop the spread

We just took the kids to dinner at a great Arlington family restaurant (indoors - the horror!). It was hard to get a seat and saw other APS families there. We plan on doing everything pre-2020 from here on out and I'm sure the majority of APS families are too.

Why sign your kid up for surveillance testing?

It's futile. You're only causing him or her to miss school for an asymptomatic case.

The NFL will not be testing anyone unless they have symptoms going forward. Is your children's education more important than professional foot ball to you?

If so, don't sign up. You're only hurting your children.

Why is it that my incredibly educated neighbors still don't understand the IFR for covid? For kids it's one in a million - pre-vax. Please calm down.

All these replies trying to make their points with logic on either side....I just don't care. my compassion and patience has been used all up by this pandemic. I'm vaccinated, boosted, my kids are fully vaccinated too, I never vote Republican, and I....just...don't...care. Covid is here forever, just learn to live with it. I agree with OP. Is it irrational, selfish, or mean? Maybe. But I don't care anymore.
