They need to put Manchin on the spot and have him identify and explain, specifically, and line by line, exactly what it is that he wants cut and make him try and explain away to his constituents and supporters FACTUALLY as to why he thinks those cuts MUST be made before he will vote yes - and be there to respond to fact checkers who can refute any points he makes.
This isn't the presidential debates.![]()
Manchin needs to be made to answer for himself and his actions. He is holding up ALL of Congress, he is holding up a much-needed bill to help our economy, and is being less than honest, transparent and forthcoming on *exactly* why and what *exactly* it will take for him to approve it. That is why he needs to be put on the spot and be held accountable.
Help the economy? LOL That bill will sink an economy already struggling with levels of inflation not seen in 13 years.
And Biden can't afford anymore failures. They haven't even written the BBB Act out, no one has the text of the bill because it doesn't exist, and they're holding up a bill that has already passed the Senate and will save Biden pre-midterms.

This is more important.

Grateful every day for Manchin, Sineman, and the several house members who have the good sense and courage to stand up for the long-term best interests of our country.
This is what I don't understand. There are other democratic senators who feel the same way and have reputations as moderates.
Their states may not be quite as red. And, there will be some in trouble next time. Warnock and Ossof are far, far left. Georgia may be purple--but it is not bright blue.
.+1 For sure
Which is why they're trying to ram through 20 years of goodies now.
This really amazes me. They KNOW these far left ideas are not popular and yet they try to push them through anyway, hiding behind “this is what the American people voted for”. But they didn’t. They voted for the moderate person they THOUGHT Biden would be. People didn’t vote in a far left agenda - they voted in someone who wasn't Trump. Next time they’ll know what they’re really voting for and will adjust accordingly.
Let me say this loud and clear for the folks in the cheap seats: They don’t really CARE whether you think their ideas are popular. The game is full control so you no longer matter.
+1
Democrats could have been the moderates people voted for, and thereby held onto the levers of power for a decade or more after what Trump did. They made the fatal mistake of pushing too far, too fast. Americans don't want to become Europe right now, if ever. Democrats seem to have forgotten that people left Europe to come here.
Well, that was over a hundred years ago. Recently there aren't a lot of Europeans clamoring to come here. You may be surprised at what "Americans don't want".

Of course it’s work. The question is whether people on modest incomes should provide money to a couple earning $150,000 to subsidize their child care costs.
