Folks this is it: the MAGA civil war. Trump realizes the monied powers behind the GOP are trying to dump him for Vance. This is the formal breakup between Trump and RW media.
Holy sh#t. Get ready for Trump’s Night of the Long Knives.
Stop it with your break-up theory. The majority of MAGA is loyal to Trump.
Also, to another PP, of course the WSJ knew Trump was going to sue. It says so in the article. He was reached for comment, and he told them he would sue if they published. And on that point, history shows he's a man of his word. So obviously WSJ has the goods to back up their claim.
The question is, are Murdoch and the editor going to quash the intrepid reporters and settle with Trump? I hope not.
Who would have thought ABC and CBS would settle with him, but they did. I hope the WSJ has irrefutable proof that it was done by Trump. Although I have to agree with Don Jr. that it doesn't really sound like Trump and doodling is supposedly a sign of intelligence so...
I think that the WSJ has a lot more. The birthday love note was bait.
I think the WSJ snipe + the health report this week is a shot across Trump's bow. The oligarchs got their tax cut out of him and now they're ready to toss him overboard. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump is on it and just wants to retire and hand the keys to Vance.
^ All of this!

Were they paid off? Are they afraid of being killed? Or did Trump never actually sleep or cavort with anyone underage?

From the NYT article
"The single largest suspicious activity report reviewed by the congressional team was filed in late 2019 by JPMorgan for $1.1 billion. The report covered 4,700 transactions dating to 2003, including payments to women from Belarus, Russia and Turkmenistan. Many of Mr. Epstein’s victims included young women from Eastern European countries."
1.1B? 4,700 transactions?
And the public is supposed to accept that the only real offenders were Epstein and Maxwell?
$1.1B in Epstein bank transactions = Epstein's client list. Release the list of who Epstein was receiving money from and we will start to get some answers on who the clients were. Release the list of who Epstein paid and we will start to get some answers on who the victims were.
But if Trump DOESN'T do that then we will know he is complicit and covering up.

I can't imagine that their plan was to publish this piece and then pay an inevitable settlement. I don't think this is going the obvious direction that Trump thinks it's going.
He’s hoping they settle because they’re afraid of him taking FOX’s broadcast license.
But I assure you they didn’t run this without consulting their attorneys for days, and without having cast iron proof.
On a legal basis they cannot lose. But Murdoch might not have the appetite for the right, the way CBS didn’t.

Discovery for the Trump suit against the WSJ should be great.

The book will tell you who the enemies are, I found a couple of good guys like Joan Rivers and RFK Jr. He (RFK Jr.) is not a part of this group whatsoever. He merely had the unfortunate experience of going on a few dates with the vile Christina Oxenberg.”

We've already repeatedly heard they were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and have had legal threats to keep them silent.
But no one else blabs about it? A friend of a friend?
You think these girls talk about this?! Geez.
The girls recruited each other. So of course they talked about it.
The girls were also complicit if they were indeed recruiting other girls. They should have been reporting these people.
Many of the girls did report him to the authorities and the FBI did nothing.

We already know that Trump's guy Alexander Acosta buried some of the complaints and cases on Epstein. At the time Acosta was USAO for the Southern District of Florida, working closely with Trump's other friend Pam Bondi on various matters. Acosta let Epstein off with a plea deal, took federal prosecution for trafficking of dozens of underaged girls off the table, and granted sweeping immunity to Ghislane Maxwell and other "potential co-conspirators." Trump rewarded Acosta by making him his Labor Secretary.
Oh absolutely agree but the ignoring/covering up began way before that and many levels lower.
