I have not yet reviewed all 110 pages of this thread, and if this topic has already been covered, I apologize for the redundancy. Could someone please explain the process of dual rostering with NVA? Given that this was mentioned during tryouts, should we have a reasonable expectation of it being implemented? Although I do not believe my son is currently at the required skill level, we were informed that he might be considered for selection. Either way we are staying with Valor.

Parents also need to realize that their kids who are the golden kids now will most likely fizzle out once puberty hits and size and strength determine it all. Seen this play out before. Should go to a club that makes their main goal fun and skills. For those who been left out due to numbers game, research Michael Jordan. Mic drop.
I really don't know all of the ins and outs with Valor as far as what you get for your 'value', but they operate basically like other clubs in the area and really don't come out with a huge surplus. All of this is public information.

Valor having a profit of 8k one year or 50k another is nothing compared to a club like Arlington that can have a surplus of over a million dollars.

. You register during late winter. Coaches then select kids for ID. Not all that register get a invite to ID. Then watch most kids have no chance because you need to play for loudoun. Or be a well known player from another club. Valor needs to stop soliciting it as a perk. They dont want our kids.Anonymous wrote:

Not fair, it was maybe slightly less than $3K.
Non-Refundable Commit Fee: $400 (Due at invitation acceptance)
Membership Fee after Commit Fee: $2650
Total Yearly Fee: $3050

Always begging the 2nd team for guests so we could have a sub or two in games. It was terrible. We stuck around for a second year hoping for a new coach and a better experience. We just got more of the same but at least they roped more kids in so we didn't have to beg. I think a lot of parents made that a condition before coming back.
It always felt wrong that we paid the same for a much worse experience. The other coaches were obviously better. Their teams played in much better tournaments (rightly so). It felt like the 3rd team was there to subsidize the higher teams - since all the tournament fees are included in the price. Not starting that process all over again with a "TBD" coach.
