You need to go take a walk or get therapy. Send the man an email and knock this off.

He's not answering.

Adam started the dialogue with letting folks know there is a plan for fields. Then he went radio silent. He owes everyone a follow up.

I also see 100 plus pages of comments can any one give me a cliffnotes version of what is going on? Many seem to imply the club will not stay afloat is this true? If we join this year would we not be guaranteed another season?

TL;DR

FCV will not be allowed to lease the field space at the Evergreen Sportsplex (now called RavenTek Park) due to expansion of VRSC's soccer program starting next season
VRSC got GA, and CC left FCV to lead VRSC GA program starting next season (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/virginia-revolution_meet-our-girls-academy-directorchristian-activity-7163985553103773698-vdyL/)
BP is leaving FCV to go to VDA to lead their Girls ECNL program (https://www.vdasoccer.org/vda-welcomes-bobby-puppione-to-the-club)
Speaking of GA, a lot of FCV GA girls are jumping ship from FCV to GA next season, partly due to field space not being announced, and partly because ALL of their established coaches have left or are leaving...
Lots of FCV GA girls seen at various ECNL tryouts all over the area
Mixed reviews of FCV's new GA Directors BC and AC causing more players to look elsewhere
Rumor mill is on fire so take whatever from this you will

No. Read through every single page, line by line

No. Historically FCV has primarily practiced at Bles and Evergreen. Recently there have been 1 or 2 weekly practices on Hansen depending on the team. The main issue is Evergreen or VA Revolution sportsplex is not renewing FCV's rental of their facilities in the fall 2024 season. So current FCV parents have no idea where we will practice in the fall and that's the main issue.

I'm assuming FCV will still practice at Hansen but not full time and FCV leadership has not said anything fields for next season.

How do you know where your child's prospective team will be practicing? For instance, Hanson might be doable for someone on a weeknight but GMU 100% would not be.

I’m confused by this too. If a kid tries out at a certain location, are they only trying out for the team that practices there? From what I understand different level teams practice in different places. The team that currently practices at the field closest to our house (I think) is definitely below the level my child needs. If they wanted to try out for a top (pre-academy) team would they need to go to a specific location? Do kids have to move practice locations if they get moved up or down within the club? The website has zero transparency regarding the different level teams and coaches for each. I have had to piece my understanding together from people I know and from what I’ve seen at tournaments. It feels like they are hiding info on purpose so parents will sign up without knowing that their kid is actually on a low level team.

Or, even worse, you sign up thinking your team will be practicing at Bles and practice is at GMU, or vice versa. That's a long trip on a weeknight.

It's almost like the people in charge have never run a soccer club before and keep making one bad decision after another.
