They should. They are oppressed by Putin, the oligarchs and anti- Democratic forces in Russia as well. They should 100 percent show solidarity with the Ukraine, and Baltic States at this time. This may be their chance to throw off oppression as well!

Dp- no. We’ve used intelligence against them at every point and it’s been effective. Putin had planned to fake all sorts of reasons to garner support at home for this invasion. He’s left with nothing, and Russians are in the streets protesting against this.

It clearly wasn't enough.
Some of the Russian soldiers captured and in the hospital said that they were told Ukraine was the aggressor. They believed Putin's propaganda.
So, the message has not gotten to those that matter most - the military.

The commander of the Russian motorized rifle platoon that was captured early on said they were under the impression they were just being sent there to do political posturing on the border and were surprised when they were then told to actually go in and attack Ukraine.

I think some of them are reluctant and in disbelief.

All my Russian facebook friends but one are devastated. The one that isn’t works for the government and posted a picture of the Russian flag. My mother thinks this is Biden’s fault (“Shouldn’t have messed with Putin and just let him have the territories that he wants” 🤦‍♀️). I’m pretty sure the number of people who consider this to be a justified response to “Ukrainian genocide of Russians” is in the single digits, but then again I haven’t lived in Russia in over a decade and can’t be certain.

A) we threatened sanctions ( they’ve been enacted)
B) Ukraine isn’t a member of NATO
