The debate was particularly testy – far more so than their first contest. Bolduc accused Hassan of “empowering” drug cartels and said the Democrat’s votes “have driven (inflation) and that is the problem we have.” Hassan responded by accusing Bolduc of “singing (big oil’s) song” and said the Republican’s views on abortion can “harm women and cost them their lives in some cases.”

JFC this is worse than the “women, their doctors and local political leaders” from Dr. Oz.

I can’t believe the democrats meddled in the republican primary to get this guy to run against Hassan because he was the weaker candidate. If he manages to win, the people responsible should face some consequences

Ya hear that, little ladies? Your mind is best made up and your words best come out of the mouth of the menfolk so just quit your yappin’, shut your legs and let the men make all your decisions. You should be grateful we still let you vote.

Vance is a terrible candidate, and Tim Ryan is a good one. Too bad Ohio has been trending so red...

Once again it’s all in the framing.

That it looks like it’s trending that way, but that Pennsylvania appears to hold for Fetterman, and Nevada for the Democrats, too, IIRC. So not quite as dire as Rando Repo would like it to sound.

I don't understand the GOP optimism.

Cite? I’d love it, but would like to see a poll or something.

Ann Selzer for the Des Moines Register who’s viewed as the gold standard in Iowa polling has Grassley up by only three

3 is enough to win, isn’t it?

Of course. And the margin of error is 3.5. But Grassley hasn’t faced this serious a competitor since he was first elected before I was born.
