These are the ones where I think he's just told the lie so many times that he believes it himself now. He's showed himself over the years as being a master of saying something false over and over and over and over again so that his cult believes him.

The only time it didn't work was with COVID, and it's not going to work with his "perfect cognitive tests."

Here's an article from a medical journal with some reasonable theories of what the bruising on his hands might be from. I think it's a combo of thin skin common to the elderly and blood thinners. But because he's vain, he covers the bruises up with makeup, thereby drawing even more attention to them.

Putin’s issue was never dementia — it was some other kind of illness, but not cognitive. If it was something else, it was probably treatable.

Whatever it was, it seemed to be treated with steroids because he had the characteristic puffy face.
