Are these the same prosecutors who initially said they weren't going to charge him? And then, after pressure but no change in facts, changed their mind? He wasn't going to plea. He feels terrible and guilt but not culpable.

“No. no,” Baldwin said.

She called Halyna’s death a tragedy, but with zero acknowledgment of her own negligence - she sees herself as a victim of the tragedy. And apparently on the jail calls she demeaned the jurors, calling them stupid a-holes and the like.
So my assessment as a former prosecutor and defender is that Hannah Gutierrez Reed has a disordered personality - maybe borderline, maybe narcissistic. She’s missing the empathy chip and she will be a danger to others in any profession that requires due care for others. She’ll never possess firearms again and never work as an armorer again - she might be just right as a plus size model once she’s eaten 3 food for 18 months.

I watched most of the trial - it was noteworthy how little emotion she showed, but I’m a former defender and prosecutor so I know all about how clients are counseled to appear impassive because whichever way you emote can be held against you by a jury.
But at sentencing it’s another story; we strenuously encourage our clients to express true remorse and accountability for the behavior to earn mercy from the judge.

It's the other way around. The armorer has been found guilty and sentenced. This was her job.
That means it's unlikely that Alec will go to jail. And IMO shouldn't, but opinions clearly vary.
