They lost 1-17 to Villareal this weekend. 1-17?? Maybe girls quit or they don't have a keeper or something.

They are playing in a league none of them belong in with a horrible coach. They belong in NCSL division 3 or 4. The way they have handled this year is so horrible to the girls. Can't wait for it to be done next week.

The 2014G team collapsed after a year of being the sacrificial lamb in the ECNL-RL (losing most games by double digits). It looks like they have a coach lined up for U13 next year, but seems like the only motive to try out for that team is if you didn't get placed on a badge-wearing team at another club.

That's a Sterling Coach listed on the Herndon website for U13 next year. He may have been the one who was ejected from a game.

Yes, that's the current Sterling coach for the 2012s who is listed on the Herndon site for U15 next year. I never heard why he was ejected from a game. I did notice that the score for that game never posted on the ECNL page for some reason.

They are probably reviewing his behavior and deciding if the game should be scored as a forfeit or not.

Looks like that game was scored as a forfeit. They also don’t have a score listed for the May 3 game. Another forfeit maybe? Wonder what’s going on with that team.

I only see 2011G and 2008G Sterling teams playing NCSL spring. No idea if there are any Herndon girls playing as Sterling on those teams.

Herndon has a few RL girls teams in NCSL-2011 and 2009.

2008 & 2007

I don't see a Herndon team in NCSL for 2008/2007.

They are playing for Sterling. Division I NCSL

I didn't even know that was a thing. Good. These coaches are out of hand with their hot headed behavior. There should be consequences. But, it shouldn't punish the girls. Having someone like that as the coach is punishment enough.

Don't count out the 2014G team. That coach they got is coming from GFR. Looks like he's bringing some of them over.

Looks like that GFR team he coaches plays in NCSL division 1 So not too big of a jump to play ECNL RL. Poaching that coach and some players from GFR is probably the best move Herndon could have made.

Maybe - presumably the girls who are good enough to play RL at GFR are already on an RL team. And don't most of HYS's RL girls teams come from Sterling?

Sterling does not appear to have a 2014 girls team right now, so for that age group no. They needed to find girls from other clubs in order to form a team. Players from the second team at GFR seems like a much better situation than recruiting from rec or making younger girls play up.

Is that a question for the coach or the players (or both)?

Both.

I don't think he got fired from GFR but not everyone is following him to HYS, only a few of them are and GFR is confident the girls team is viable still, between current GFR and girls who have left surrounding clubs.
