They lost 1-17 to Villareal this weekend. 1-17?? Maybe girls quit or they don't have a keeper or something.

The 2014G team collapsed after a year of being the sacrificial lamb in the ECNL-RL (losing most games by double digits). It looks like they have a coach lined up for U13 next year, but seems like the only motive to try out for that team is if you didn't get placed on a badge-wearing team at another club.
That's a Sterling Coach listed on the Herndon website for U13 next year. He may have been the one who was ejected from a game.
Yes, that's the current Sterling coach for the 2012s who is listed on the Herndon site for U15 next year. I never heard why he was ejected from a game. I did notice that the score for that game never posted on the ECNL page for some reason.
They are probably reviewing his behavior and deciding if the game should be scored as a forfeit or not.

I only see 2011G and 2008G Sterling teams playing NCSL spring. No idea if there are any Herndon girls playing as Sterling on those teams.
Herndon has a few RL girls teams in NCSL-2011 and 2009.
2008 & 2007
I don't see a Herndon team in NCSL for 2008/2007.

Don't count out the 2014G team. That coach they got is coming from GFR. Looks like he's bringing some of them over.
Looks like that GFR team he coaches plays in NCSL division 1 So not too big of a jump to play ECNL RL. Poaching that coach and some players from GFR is probably the best move Herndon could have made.
Maybe - presumably the girls who are good enough to play RL at GFR are already on an RL team. And don't most of HYS's RL girls teams come from Sterling?

Is that a question for the coach or the players (or both)?
