The coach part is stupid and wrong. There are teams that haven't won a game in years and the coaches aren't fired. For the 3rd-5th teams they just want any warm body. Almost always the person hired has never coached club soccer before.


That's not fair. They run background checks. They will take any warm body without an ankle monitor. They have standards!

Do the "better" tournaments charge higher entry fees than the "low level" tournaments? Does the ECNL-RL league charge more than NCSL? Are all coaches paid the same or do the better, upper team coaches command higher pay?

How's that tinfoil hat fitting?
These are non-profits. No one "sells" anything and there are no "owners". The profits are funneled back to the directors as higher salaries. Loudoun is nowhere near Chantilly and a merger would make no sense for either org.

This is a issue at most clubs. Its about revenue. Once your kid is labeled a 3rd team kid just jump to another club.

ECNL changed the rules on ALL the clubs. Every club is required to change their ECNL team (former Gold at Valor) to now be called "Pre-ECNL"- maybe they should have mentioned it however every club has the same requirement so most parents know.


I would just ask which team is it …number 1, 2 or 3rd level team and which division they could be playing in? If the previous roster hasn't changed very much during tryout they will likely perform relatively the same in the from the previous division.
