Because it's in a divorce proceeding. This is not unusual at all.

Wade immediately asked for the divorce record to be sealed the day after he was appointed a special prosecutor by Willis. So, it seems that he was trying to hide the record from public view or knowledge after his appointment, knowing that the press would want to comb through the details. If he didn't have anything to hide, why request that?

Because he wanted a private matter to stay private? Looks like he was right to do so.

Considering that Wade was held in contempt for not turning over all applicable docs, there is certainly more to come.
These records were sealed long before revelations about his conduct and finances were made.

And, his wife's attorney has said they plan to question him about his conduct and finances.

Yes, he was trying to hide this new source of income that his AP provided for him. He gives his SAH wife a generous $700 every two weeks and sometimes writes checks against it. His estranged wife says that the account is frequently overdrawn when she tries to use the money. For several months, she had to borrow money from her father, who was on social security to pay her own expenses because of this. Her father recently passed, so she no longer has access to his social security.

And Wade is living it up with a new luxury car, taking his AP on trips and cruises while he makes his estranged wife beg for food. Nice guy. He also changed the ownership of his law firm. Prior to divorce proceedings, he was the sole owner of the law firm. Just before he filed, he changed the ownership so that he is only a partner and not the sole owner so that the firm and its assets would not be considered by the divorce court.

He deserves to have his finances combed through by his wife's lawyers so that she can get her fair share of the money that she is entitled to.
