It's not impossible that the best players from a mediocre team should make this list. Maybe you only have 1 or 2 from a team that didn't make the playoffs but you can see when the same girls play at school together that it's not just the top 5 coach's favorite players from BLC who make all of the impact.

For some perspective, MDU got 3 players and they’re the best team in the country right now, while BLC got 5 and M&D got 8. I don’t think anybody was trying to knock the girls who made it but something is clearly flawed in the process.


Agreed, many picks did not make any sense. MDU top team only getting 3 was bizarre. Hero's only got 2. M&D getting 8 is a joke.


Individual coaches were emailed and asked to nominate girls on their team. The MDU coach was busy winning this weekend which might explain her not submitting more names. Not sure what the excuse is for Hero's, all the other playoff teams had good representation for their girls.


MDU and HG probably had more girls nominated. Other girls just got more votes.

Robinson Sports runs NGLL. That explains 8 M&D kids on the list, maybe they picked the names before NGLL playoffs.

For a coach to even nominate 8 of their own kids is ballzy.

Curious how many true defenders were listed?

Which coaches nominate? Our team had zero players and although we aren’t as good as some of the top teams we certainly have some individual players who are better than those on the list.

Which coaches nominate? Our team had zero players and although we aren’t as good as some of the top teams we certainly have some individual players who are better than those on the list.

Kids screenshotted and saved them so all you have to do is look at the tagged posts.

A lot of All-Star teams for tournaments, etc. are just asking the coaches to name who they think their best players are.

Agree the process needs to be better. But how could they have caused that much drama internally on teams? The lists were up for less than 12 hours and basically overnight. I don’t think many kids even had a chance to see them.

I’d actually like to see them do it by position. 4 attack 3 middies 4 def and a goalie.
