Go on strike. Do it!

You have no idea what my agency does for you, and you never will know unless we stop doing it. Then you'll notice and you won't like at all. You're welcome.

Keep living in your little bubble.

You are in the bubble. You have absolutely no clue what goes on in the real world, outside of your little village wherever that is, never venturing to look at what other people are doing. Enjoy your safe, comfortable life. You don't deserve it.

Department of State and USAID too.

I think you mean fire them. Layoffs are expensive what with paying for vacation time and severance pay. The government cannot afford to lay-off people can it even do it with personnel all furloughed and not working too I don’t think so but maybe a bunch of private sector guys will go learn the government personnel policies and work for free to do some layoffs right?

Yes, no one misses those civil servants that Trump keeps calling back to run their agencies so no one will miss them.

Except a majority of Americans do NOT want a border wall. So no.

I am not so sure. There has been only one candidate whose opening remarks were building a wall, and that guy won the election on his first try.

he lost by 3 million votes and he campaigned on border crisis and lost BY A LOT IN 2018. So Dems got the house back.

But he’s still presudentz. And the Trump Derangement Syndrome continues.

He is NOT president for all of America, only for his brainless cult who worships the russian stooge, pussy grabber in chief and a certified conman.

There is also Trump Infatuation Syndrome. Most Americans don't want a wall. It's a fact. See prior posts on the poll numbers. They also don't want a shutdown. But His High and Mightyness has decreed there shall be both, and we all must rush to do his bidding according to those with Trump Infatuation Syndrome.

And lost the popular vote by more than 3 million and got historically crushed in the midterms. He is only President because of the Electoral College. But no, the majority of Americans overwhelmingly oppose spending money on the wall. Remember, Trump campaigned that Mexico was going to pay for it. So why are our Federal employees being squeezed?

We don't have a system of electing president by popular votes. R expanded its senate majority in the midterms. There is no definitive answer as to whether a majority of Americans want a wall. The only things are definitive -- Trump is the president, R controls the senate, and D controls the house. It appears 2/3 wants a wall.

We don't have system where the President + one House of Congress overrules the other House.

And as for what the majority want, they have polls for that. Polls do in fact provide definitive answers on what the majority of people want.

We don’t have a system where the House refuses to acknowledge reality. 30 House Democratic centrista want Nancy to negotiate. She should listen to them.

96 Senators passed a budget last month. Now, apparently 0 want a budget. Talk about acknowledging reality.

This whole action is willful on the part of the President and McConnell. Our FBI and Courts will soon cease operations. Rule of law and all.
