They call their top teams "Academy" so when they say Girls Academy ID Sessions, they don't mean the league. They mean ID sessions for their top team.
Arlington and Nationals SC both call their girls program, girls academy. But they both play in ECNL. I think it’s a fancy way of them saying they take care of their girls
They were also in the GA post DA at one point for about a year, I think they just kept rolling with it.

No not really they call their boys top team Academy as well, nothing unique or special for the girls. That's just what they call their top teams at each age
