Well, Elon is neurodivergent, what do you expect? My husband is neurodivergent, as is our neighbor, and they both have crazy ideas sometimes, that their wives need to persuade them are NOT workable.

I can well believe that Elon has a high IQ and Asperger's, as he says. And that this combo gives him both strengths and weaknesses: a single-minded focus to make his companies profitable; a stream of out-of-the-box ideas, some of which will be genius, and the rest complete garbage; and an inability to empathize and see other people's point of view, unless, as the person says, it's presented in a very specific way that triggers a response.

My husband and my neighbor are similar. And they're not as wealthy, so all-in-all... Elon isn't that bad

Elon’s greatest success story was coming out of his extremely wealthy mother’s vagina. He has a lot of “single minded focus”, but let’s face it, his companies can’t produce. Vision means nothing when your car blows up a person’s house or your rocket is no more reliable than the 1960s era technology it replaced.

You sound like a redditor, absolutely sure you're right ... even when you're wrong.

I agree that he’s hyper focused, but I disagree that it’s always, or even ever, about making his companies profitable. If that was his focus with Twitter he wouldn’t have alienated every possible advertiser within the first week of taking over. And at Tesla he has been obsessed with self driving rather than selling cars, plus his behavior wrt Twitter has alienated a huge chunk of his Tesla customers.

They seem to have quite the bromance going on, so not at all surprising.

AWS is one of the companies that he is stiffing. Anyone else really hoping they pull the plug over unpaid bills?

Genuine question: why are you married to someone who is incapable of empathy and can't see your point of view? Sounds like a stressful life to choose
