And, we release oil from the petroleum reserves to begin with?
Our refineries are at capacity. Adding to the global supply helps if there is capacity at other refineries. Everybody said do something. This is something a President can do. He can’t build a refinery.

Just saw prices in my area of the MD burbs start to fall and go back under $5 post July 4th..
I paid $4.55 in SE DC this past weekend. I also had a crackhead accost me for money while tryin' to pump gas into my Subaru lol

About 1 million barrels per day is being released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) through October. The flow is draining the SPR, which last month fell to the lowest since 1986. U.S. crude futures are above $100 per barrel and gasoline and diesel prices above $5 a gallon in one-fifth of the nation. U.S. officials have said oil prices could be higher if the SPR had not been tapped.
