Why do Fairfax schools need to play in these weekend or spring break “tournaments” instead of just scheduling normal games like Loudoun schools. It doesn’t make sense to me.
VHSL allows a maximum of 15 regular season games. (Used to be 14). LCPS Atheletics is budgeted to fund the associated costs to cover 15 games (re: Refs). FCPS only budgets for a certain amount of games, and schools that want to play more, up to 15 often do so at these Spring Break Tournaments.
Also, some schools only schedule 13-14 games for different reasons, like small rosters strength of program and "liked skilled" opponents.
But question is: why does FCPS not budget for more than 9-10 games for lacrosse (esp if other LCPS can do it). And FCPS doesn't do that for field hockey (for example) - full 16 game season there...
The comment you’re responding to literally says up to 15 games. Who in FCPS is only playing ten? And why do you think that’s a FCPS thing and not a school specific constraint?

So Laxnumbers has Riverside as the best public school. But dmv rankings doesn’t even have them ranked. What is going on?

Also considered in the overall (not just public) rankings. I don't see any public rankings.
Lax Numbers is math based on formulas.
There are 4 Va public schools ahead of them in the dmv rankings. How can 2 rankings be so off. MadLax hates Riverside?
Sigh, I'll play along.
Lax Numbers is based on a formula, there are no humans. It's games computed based on criteria, including a type of SOS and scores etc. You can spend 3.3 seconds and find this information - https://www.laxnumbers.com/faq.php
DMV Rankings has human voters I do believe. And they will have different opinions and biases on outcomes, SOS, quality of teams etc. DMV Rankings had Gonzaga at #8 from one week to the next despite losing two games and being winless, as an example of how a system of human voting can possibly be skewed.
Most likely DMV Rankings has little pondering on any public schools.

Anyone got any write up on the Robo or Battlefield game? Good win for Robo!
Wins in March are like really dumb. Shouldn’t matter
