We are ALREADY producing more than we did in any year from 1819-2019. Only briefly higher at the beginning of Trump's term but fell during the pandemic - on Trump's watch. Gas production INCREASED since Biden took office.

How can it be that we are producing more oil and gas now than ever before yet prices are our of whack?

No refineries have been built since 1977 while some closed down in 2020. It's not a supply problem.

Refineries are shutting down and opting for other energy or just opting out.

I also saw news we are shipping out oil somewhere.

Six refineries closed or went idle during Trump's last year in office.

One refinery resumed operation since Biden took office.

But sure, let's blame decreased refinery capacity on Biden. And let's pretend like current refinery capacity is a "war on oil" when our current refinery output under Biden is higher than it was for all of the 1990s and 2010s.

Oil is a global market. It all gets shuffled around. Moreover raw import/export stats are somewhat misleading because of Canada and Mexico.

Are they the ones who are buying all the gas guzzling trucks and SUVs?

This is yet another example of a misleading tweet.
Open the link and look at the powerpoint press release and you will see that nearly all the sales as compared to last year were negative.
This PR press release from Ford is comparing their sales to competitors.

How does that explain gas prices on a global scale? It doesn’t. Prices are corporate greed.

Time for the price at the pump to drop. If it doesn't, we're being screwed by the oil companies.
