I've lost count of the number of appropriation bills she has passed recently to reopen the government. Maybe you can look it up if you're interested.

Here’s the thing. That’s not negotiating. Republicans control the Senate and the Presidency (the last one is tough to believe, right?). So she has to make serious, reasonable proposals in response to these dynamics. Doing something that Mitch has said won’t happen is not serious on these circumstances. It’s a face saving gesture for her gullible base.

Don't lie. This is all about Trump. The House passed the same budget that made it unanimously through the Senate last month, but then Speaker Ryan refused to bring up in the House. The only thing that changed between the two votes was Trump said he wouldn't sign the budget.

It's not passable if Trump won't sign. Pelosi needs to send up a bill that includes most of what Trump wants, but not everything - or, everything that Trump wants, and a bit more that Nancy wants. It's called negotiation.

That’s not a “lie,” so please stop with the zombie-like talking points. The current dynamics are what matter at this point. You have no answer for why Team Nancy isn’t negotiating. So that’s that. Saying this is “all about Trump” is not an argument. Perhaps what you’re trying to say is that the Democratic leadership simply should not reach an agreement if it gives Trump something of what he wants. I fail to see how that’s a grown up view.

There is a thing called a veto override. If more then 70 Senators support a bill, then there is nothing the President can do about it. The Senate had passed the very same bill Pelosi has sent several times, by a unanimous voice vote. Ergo, no, the President is irrelevant if the Senate is willing to re-vote on the EXACT SAME BILL it passsed unanimously before the shutdown.

Yes, yes.... I know about a veto override. No way the Senate has the votes for it.
