I think today it sank in that he will face zero repercusiones and nothing is going to change. This feels like a new and accelerated time, because of the sheer willingness of the government to keep the arms flowing, married to the unwillingness to end sovereign immunity, money in politics, or seriously prosecuting insurrection and murder by state agents and politicians. For every humiliating Bob Menéndez trial, we have a Trump walking around and ruling or getting massive financial windfalls.
This isn’t Kent State. In 1970, you could not be tracked virtually round the clock and/or presumed to be a “terrorist” because you read a columnist or donate to the ACLU. This feels very, very different.
He is apparent from here in Virginia!
What other info is out about him?
Honestly, spark plug bad built balding white guy screaming obscenities while pointing a loaded weapon at an unarmed woman could be any American middle-aged man.
Looks like he lives in Richmond.

For many of them, that money is more than a year's salary. I'm sure many have great need of the cash and have used it to get out of debt ot get current on rent or mortgage, pay back taxes and back child support. All the things you should do if you get a large infusion of cash.
But once that bonus is spent - are they obligated to work for a certain lenth of time? If they want to quit, do you they have to return the money? Because that's a serious disincentive to quit. And wouldn't it put them under even greater pressure to not be fired, to do whatever they are told, even if they believe it is illegal? Because being fired doesn't just mean losing job and benefits, it means you have to pay back the $50,000?

If you’re gonna protest. Think about what you are doing. How you are doing it and what the possible outcomes might be. I know people will say it’s victim blaming but the only thing we can control is what we do.
So, your solution is to sit back and let moron thugs with guns run the country?
Maybe the forefathers should have got on their knees for the British and their guns.
No I’m saying act with purpose and forethought. Maybe get some protest training. Don’t waste your one valuable life. If you want to be simple cannon fodder go ahead.

DP and I agree with this. My dad pointed out to me many years ago that Abbie Hoffman rarely got arrested, he knew when to dip.
I posted a thread today regarding what we can do, and the suggestions so far are embarking on no spending and of course running and/or supporting young viable candidates. I like these ideas and am racking my brain for additional constructive suggestions.

Why are all these white people who live in these heavily white states always the first people to protest racism or ICE? Same thing with Portland. If you liked minorities that much you would think you’d want to live by them.
Throwing snowballs at ICE agents is corny and punk behavior. Typical bratty white people behavior.
You are so stupid
It must be them that lead, and thankfully they are. Any minority protesting will be ground UP with no sound. If this was a minority you would not have heard of it.
Admit it, its annoying to you that white faces are going up against ICE
Nice try but when a careless law enforcement officer unnecessarily fires three rounds to kill the driver of a moving vehicle, we're going to hear about it 10 times out of 10 regardless what ethnicity the driver is. And you know what else? We're going to make dang sure the shooter is punished appropriately. Decent people don't put up with this mess.

My spouse is convinced that Noem always wears a hat because either her hair is falling out or it's just a really bad wig.
