But I do have one Taylor nit, and that is I wish she would spekaup. She is a billionaire with nothing to lose, and she seems so insulated right now not telling Trump and the WH to eff off using her music.
Like, didn't she used to be politically involved?
Maybe I am wrong, but this seems like a legit critique?
We don't need more people unqualified speaking out. People should stay in their lanes.
Eff off with that. By that logic, anyone who is not a politician or in the field isn't allowed to have an opinion.
Is that really your stance? Seems really undemocratic to me.
I disagree with Kid Rock but he is absolutely allowed to speak and have an opinion.

DP. I’m just curious why you feel she needs to “speak up” simply because you want her to? She obviously doesn’t want to be an entertainer/activist and for that I applaud her. She can speak up - or not - about whatever she pleases.

She dated a 17/18 year old while she was 22/23. She even checked him out of high school.
She even bought a house near him.
So, maybe she is scared to take on the pedophile?
This seems like such a stretch to throw the pedo term around. Just googling, he was born in July 1994 and they started dating in July 2012. So he was 17 for a minute and she was 22 for the duration of their relationship (they broke up before her 23rd birthday looks like). Seeing pictures of them together she could pass for 16. She missed out on some of the high school milestones given her career and seemed somewhat delayed anyway. She was doing sort of teen pop at that point, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22.” I seriously doubt any Kennedy boy was a virgin as late as 18 - they are not exactly known for respecting women.
It seems like an appropriate match. Considering all male celebs who dated teen girls when they were much older and no one gives a crap this seems silly to be harking on. Looking at you, Paul Walker and Chad Michael Murray. And Anthony Keidis. And Billy Corrigan. And John Mayer. And Johnny Depp. And Henry Cavill. And Jerry Seinfeld.
Well, I have things to do, but I’ll come back and list 50 more if you’d like.

Music theorists and Shakespeare professors judge it positively too.
wood? wishlist? really?
DP. I hate Wood, Actually Romantic, Elizabeth Taylor, Cancelled, and Father Figure. Love the others.
I like the clean version of Wood--seems more fun and less cringe. Elizabeth Taylor and Father Figure are all right by me. SHe does some deep diving on ET lore and I like that.
Life of a Showgirl (sabrina, swoon!!,) Honey, and Opalite are my faves on it, though. NGL, I love to do the Ophelia dance!
