They had a combined Herndon/Sterling girl's practice this week for next year's team at Herndon. Sterling girls were told that they all have a spot on next year's team if they were on this year. No idea the turnout. We didn't go since we won't be back next year.
We were there. Bottom line, if you're willing to join, you're on the team. Skill don't matter at this point because it's all about the survival of the program/team and not being competitive or a travel team. Many friends were recruited from rec to just come up and make the numbers. It stinks to have to drive further for our kid but she deserves better than 20 random girls put together to play "competitive travel" soccer.

The 2012 Girls ECNL Regional game never updated on the ECNL site. I did hear a Herndon (or Sterling) coach got ejected for arguing calls last week. Not sure if that explains why the game isn't updated or if that's what this poster is referring to. But coaches get red cards at this level pretty frequently (I think I've seen at least 3 in the past couple of years at my DC's games).

I think 2012 is one of the Sterling coaches.
That coach is very hot headed, wouldn’t be the first game he got thrown out of.
