Kids get awesome at playing one position, with one foot, can't dribble out of a wet paper bag; and get comfortable making a series of predictable sideways or backwards pass as their contributions to a soccer game. Its awesome for like 2-3 field players usually somewhere in the middle of defense or midfield, goalies thrive though, so winning!
I'm assuming your sarcasm is directed to VRSC. My child has been with VRSC for several years now and is able to accurately and skillfully play 3 to 4 positions on the field. The coach is able to play my child in their primary position and then if they are short a player the coach can move them to the position needed. My child is also able to dribble out of any wet paper bag with both feet. This past weekend my child won all but 2 of the 1 v 1's in the 2 games that were played. And before you say there must have been only 1 of those my child plays wing and has several 1 V 1's in each game. Their defensive line is amazing, as are their midfield players; they are undefeated as of now in their season.
Keep you hate where it belongs!
This is just Adam from FCV ranting. You can tell by the right wing MAGA comments spiced in. Don't fall for his bait - VRSC teams at all levels hammer FCV now.

In defense of the person who said, "Just looking at results, high school aged GA teams (CC/MJ) seem respectable for first year of a new program....", I want some of what you're smoking!
“New teams get beat by best ECNL teams on the East Coast”.
Big chest thumping there, while FCV continues to get housed by Rev and NVA is falling apart at the seams.
Desperate attempt to save face now that VRSC mediocrity is on full display despite all the money and shady and questionable business practices.
World Class rank 2007 - #51 in country
2008 - #17
2009 #30
2010 #26

All VRSC teams compete in the TOP bracket. Was your team even invited? LOL Go play in the Battlefield tournament and win a game.
Wayyyy off. My rankings app has VRSC 2007 at 331 in the country. And the teams are ranked a little lower down for each age group you go. And what tournaments outside of local NOVA tournaments have they done well in? They are doing well, but not “#17 in the nation well.”
They might start to produce some real talent with their academy, but this is their 1st year. Those star players will likely take a full 2 years to impact team performance, and they likely won’t even play for VRSC then.
06-07 is the one team that largely stayed at FCV as most had already committed to college, so they are a clear outlier. 08, 09, and 10 are 150 +/- in the rankings app, which isn’t terrible considering this is the first year for a new program. 11 and 12 are 200s. Not sure what’s going on with them. See earlier questions about coaching at first two GA years. 13s (pre-GA) are in-line (actually a bit better than) 08, 09, and 10, so perhaps the in-house pipeline is coming along.
Just shut up, you have Niko and Eric and Janice as coaches. Screamers with no qualifications and much less any knowledge of how to pedagogically teach and instruct minors. It’s a business and you’re getting fleeced at 4K yearly with close to another band in uniforms, backpacks, and other crap to keep the money coming in.
This poster is sour grapes because his DD was rejected by VRSC staff. Maybe grow an inch or two and try again. The entire youth soccer industry is a business and this group just is better at it. Even if it's $1000 more than the fleecing you're getting, we at least have a good facility to play on. People like you are the ones who wake up one day and realized they fooled themselves. Nobody is fooling anyone here.
Do apologetics, club staff or whoever is bootlicking so hard think before sending a post? Certainly dont look like it. You’re literally proving PP’s points when your only argument to justify such robbery is that you have a good facility lol nothing about credentials, experience, qualifications and track record. Speaks for itself tbh but you do you boo. There’s a reason why psychology has a special category for masochists and Stockholm syndrome warriors like you.
Dude you need to get a grip. I don’t know anything about the guys coaching U13 and U14 GA teams, but you lose all credibility by questioning the “credentials, experience, qualifications and track record” of the two guys coaching the other four GA teams. Perhaps you’re right about the guys coaching the two younger teams, but I’m certainly not taking your word for it given your obvious anger at the club (why would someone be so angry at a club?). And you can’t deny the massive improvement in every first girls team U12-U17/18 over last year, although it’s admittedly a small sample size and it’s relative to what clearly were abysmal teams last year. Those teams are not even close to the ECNL teams in the DMV, but no rational person can argue that the club hasn’t taken a big step forward. The question is whether it’s enough to retain the top players who took a chance by following CC from FCV and to attract more players from ECNL clubs who can’t make the ECNL teams.

VRSC GA teams:
2007/06 is 330
2008 is 147
2009 is 165
2010 is 174
2011 is 223
2012 is 280
2013 is 136
Old FCV teams were always top 100, many top 50, and some top 10, so this is a big drop off from what CC had been achieving. But VRSC teams weren’t even scratching top 300 (top 500? top 1,000?), so it’s dramatic improvement by that comparison. Where it goes from here will be interesting to watch. I’m clearly rooting for them.
Oh, I thought we were talking about the rankings of the current FCV (St James) teams. Clearly VRSC is doing better than St James.
2008 is #291.
2009 is #482.
2010 is #637.
2011 is #619.
2012 is #1270
