They don't know each other well enough to make that kind of ginormous move at their ages. I guess it's good that Theresa has family living there, because I suspect she is in for a rude awakening once they actually have to live together. The way his feelings change on a dime?

I think Gerry's family had reservations about Leslie and that tipped the scales in favor of Theresa.

A few PPs have mentioned being skeptical about these people falling in love. That's the reason I've never watched any of the bachelor shows until now - I thought the whole premise was ridiculous. I was only interested because of the age demographic. Now I see the entertainment value, other than the scene with Leslie in Costa Rica. That should have been edited a little more to protect her privacy.

PP who said Theresa is childlike yet mature and shrewd nailed it. She's a mixture of both.

Yes, but he could have talked about their "similar histories and bond" without phrasing it as a direct dig to Leslie. I think it was callous. I get a cold vibe from him, but narcissists are very charming until they're not. The other ladies definitely view him very differently now. They were not happy for this couple, and I believe it's because they now have his number.

I gasped when he said that. "I chose the woman who knows how to nurture a long-term relationship." COME ON. He could simply have said: "I realized the level of trust and understanding between two people who suffered the loss of life-long loves was invaluable." It was framed as Theresa vs. Leslie, and was a low blow. Should Leslie have stayed after infidelity?

That said, I think abc really misjudged things. Instead of getting the model of an older relationship that everyone is rooting for, they aired an absolute mess. I’m not surprised when a 28-year-old bachelors tells a woman, “you’re the one. I love you. I see myself with you”. This guy is 72. That’s not romance. That’s cruel.

I don’t think he feels bad one drop about Leslie just like I don’t think he felt bad one drop about faith. He is an actor , a performer from here he has aspirations of going to Hollywood.

There’s nothing wrong with being alone we are all alone we came in alone we leave alone marriage makes us all codependent on somebody else, which is very unhealthy sad. Sad to pick anybody instead of being alone.

I don’t get the big intense love that these women profess none of them know this guy. They’ve been with him a couple of times clearly they don’t talk like they have any conversation of any substance because they know nothing about each other. Gerry didn’t even know what Teresa did for a living. She had nothing with this man. He had nothing to offer her except being a widow sooner than she should be.
