It really is a 1+ 1 = 3 taxpayer investment.
Cannot wait for some more modern aircraft and better weapons to get to Ukraine and permitting them to use in Russia.
It seems Russia is content to slug it out with no urgency to end the conflict. Like NATO, it thinks its coming out ahead in the proxy war. NATO pumps Ukraine full of equipment that Ukrainians barely know how to use. Russia then gets to blow up/capture all that NATO equipment more easily than if they faced actual NATO troops.
Its a recipe for a long conflict.
No, they aren't. They already lost more in less than 2 years than they did in all 20 years of Afghanistan. This war is not sustainable for Russia. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves.
You post as if Ukraine was fighting a country that actually cared about people.
Russia (and to some point Russians) are not wired like Europeans. They really do not care about life/lives of anyone other than (maybe) themselves or immediate family (that is debatable).
No, Russia can go on for a long time. This war is not that expensive for them and as previously stated; not until you hit maybe the 5m KIA would they even notice.
Putin Will probably die (of natural causes or whatever) before this war ends; and then a new fuhrer will step in; maybe end the war, maybe not. Then repeat the cycle in 15 years after Russia rebuilds its military again.
Really? Then why did they get out of Afghanistan?
They didn't have as much money then. US aid was bringing down one aircraft a day.
Since then Europe has cut its energy development, giving Russia more money for military adventures.

Your argument is that if there is a Nazi in Ukraine, regardless that the country's president is Jewish, it's justification for Russia to commit war crimes, rape, pillage, execute prisoners, kidnap children, assassinate journalists and opposition leaders?
The question you have to ask yourself is why didn't Putin ask Zelensky (a Jew) to look into any Nazi issues a year ago? But a year ago, wasn't the invasion supposed to have been about 'protecting Russians in Donbass'?
It may be better for you to stop parroting Russian propaganda and making a decision whether this is what you support:
"Russian forces had set up a mobile crematorium outside of Tokmak"
"Locals complain of a constant corpse stench in the southeastern part of the city, especially at night,"
https://www.newsweek.com/russian-army-burning-their-own-dead-hide-massive-losses-ukraine-says-1780266
“Twenty-one mobile crematoriums have been ordered by the Russian leadership in China,”
“Putin has been informed that the order is ready and will be delivered to Russia via third countries in the near future.”
"It claimed that the Russian dictator "is not embarrassed by the colossal losses” from the war he inflicted on Europe - but the scale is “disturbing” to ordinary people. As a result, according to the president, the losses must be ‘smeared over time’, and the crematoriums have been ordered for this.”
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/vladimir-putin-orders-21-mobile-28994545
"In Kursk and Rostov-on-Don, the Russians are building large-scale facilities for sorting, analysing, and storing the corpses"
https://www.yahoo.com/news/russia-builds-gigantic-facilities-sorting-102900309.html
“Crematoriums are growing exponentially in Russia,”
"the 33 crematoriums currently operating in Russia are unable to meet surging demand."
https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2023/01/27/russias-funeral-industry-booms-amid-heavy-war-losses-a80062
Stop being a stooge for a corrupt government driving your country into extinction. Just stop.

It had nothing to do with Russian casualties. The baltics and half the Soviet Union countries were basically bankrupt and in revolt.
The kids dying in Afghanistan were mostly not Russian, they were from countries already pissed off at Russia for a terrible economic situation and lousy living standard.
Russia has a history of killing its own people without any regard or regret. It does not phase them, they are used to it.

Dp- no. They are saying that Russia sucks. All they know how to do is lose. Stay on topic.

Just wait til you hear about Russia's Nazi Task Force Rusich (Nazis), Nazi DPR Somalia and Sparta Battalions, Varyag Battalion, Svarozich Battalian, Ratibor Battalion, or that Wagner PMC is named after Hitler's favorite composer and that its leadership like Dmitri Utkin are avowed Nazis.
It's not even funny that Russia sent actual Nazis to supposedly "de-Nazify" Ukraine.
Not PP you were replying to, but it seems to me, as a western European, that eastern Europe just has a number of toxic males who do the neo-Nazi/homophobe/xenophobe thing, more so than western Europe. We have them too in my country, but I feel not as many. There is really no difference in the percentage of Ukrainians and Russians who fall into that category... it's just that one country decided to invade the other, which is ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE.
It's truly bizarre for people to try and characterize Ukraine as "nazi" or needing "denazification" when Zelenskyy, Yermak and many other prominent leaders of Ukraine are in fact Jews. Jews voted into office by a wide public majority. Since when do nazis vote for Jews? Ukraine is second only to Israel in terms of Jewish leadership.
Russia, on the other hand, cannot even remotely say the same.

Bottom line is that Ukraine -- like every other European country -- has Neo-Nazis. Let's move on.
