But Taylor had the power that people actually wanted to buy them. That is the essence of capitalism. It’s a free market. No one‘s holding a gun to anyone’s head. If you want to buy artist merch, if you want to buy their vinyl albums just to collect them even though you’ll listen to most of your music on your phone or whatever, you are free to do that.
