Now will MLSN/GA make the move is the question that keeps this thread alive

The only other option is intellectual dishonestly or intellectual disability. Or maybe a bit of both.

-August birthdays choose to play up or down. It is no more cheating than saying a Jan birthday in BY is cheating by playing with kids in the lower grade currently
-There are several states with start dates later than 9-1. In a 10-31 state should we force the Sept and October kids to play with their grade or give them the choice?
-Forcing anyone to play up is putting them at a month, two months, three month disadvantage. If they want to, more power to them but if they want to play with the same 12 month cohort that is fine as well.
-We eliminated trapped players due to it being unfair. Forcing a kid to play against kids potentially 13-15 months older is also unfair.
-If you want your august kid to get an advantage, move to an 8-1 state and have fun in high school.😂

You'll slither back under your rock looking for some other item to troll on.
how are they going to make this rule? By asking what grade an August kid is in? If it is 8-1 to 7-31; that is the 12-month age group. If they say all August birthdays have to play with the age group above, it would make no sense? so i'm assuming you are saying it would be based on grade then?
You just make a rule that Aug players must play with their grade in school.
When leagues are made aware of cheaters they tell them to play with the correct grade or dont play ar all.
Seems pretty simple.
Help me out - are you saying Aug kids who play a grade down than their actual grade are cheaters in a system where the cutoff is from Aug to July?
Yes its call SY or School Year for a reason
Is an August kid cheating if they are in the same grade as the Sept-Dec kids?
Not an issue for ECNL, they don't allow kids to play in the age group below theres.Anonymous wrote:If a kid is playing down a SY the chances of them having any significant playing time playing in their actual SY team for showcases is obviously very low. Also kids who are on SY who are on lower teams because of kids playing down a SY taking their spot is unfortunate. They won’t have the same chances to get scouted at major tournaments and just doesn’t make sense. There is nothing wrong playing on the second team in your school year. You will have a better chance to play in college at whatever Division than playing a SY down where you are showing you can’t play within your SY let alone against older men/woman at the next level.

Then do you have a rule that those four to five months worth of kids cannot play in their age matrix? I do not see how that works across the board.
With grad year this can all be fixed!
Nope, that'll just introduce much older kids playing with younger ones purely for advantage like in other youth sports.
What is much older? And how do you decide that? Is a July kid held back much older? Would only be 1 month older than Aug kids?
So should freshman be able to play varsity or not? It wouldn’t be fair for a freshman to take a seniors spot?
Either kids are good enough or they aren’t 1 year doesn’t matter most elite players can and do play up.
I’m not for Grad Year but you cowards who treat it like the boogy man have kids weak as wet toilet paper.
COMPETE regardless of age groupings.
