We left a huge power vacuum for China and Russia to fill with their own influence and propaganda operations.

Why can't Trump keep USAID and just steer the fraud and waste to MAGA instead of leftist NGOs so everybody can be happy

$800 MILLION. Do you realize how much that is? JFC

Thank goodness someone with a spine finally shut down that shitshow.

That makes no sense, friend. The president cannot shut down a department or agency. He's not Congress.

And yet, he did!

And theirs will be better than what we have now, even given this:

"Rossotrudnichestvo’s annual budget of approximately 5.5 billion rubles (about $70 million) is largely consumed by overhead costs covering 80 offices in 70 countries, while only a quarter is directed toward active project funding, he added."

Russia has no money and whatever is there will be stolen by employees or others. Graft is really the only thing Russia does well.

mmmm hmmm. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Nevertheless, it's been dissolved.

It will be back. These unforced errors of the Trump administration will cost the taxpayers so much money.

It will need a new base of operations or HQ. As reported by the Washington Post and WTOP, the FBI is moving into the old USAID HQ, the Ronald Reagan Building.

The money Congress approved for the new FBI HQ in Greenbelt will now go towards renovating the Ronald Reagan Building for a new, highly secure, and state-of-the-art FBI HQ.

No, probably not.

What would make the most sense, while this administration plays so-efficient musical chairs rearranging agencies, would be to relocate the FBI to the Ronald Reagan building, renovate the Hoover building or tear down and build on that site, then move the FBI back.

I have met many USAID staff both here and abroad - and the vast majority were genuine, caring, hard working and committed to improving human outcomes for USAID programs.

When a place is so infested with vermin, it’s best to burn it down and start over.

Well put.

If you believe lies. It’s all lies, twit.

Name calling means you have nothing to stand on. Thank you for the clarity.
