You gotta do apples to apples. Sure, Valor has issues with their all in pricing, particularly at the younger ages and with the lower teams, but BAC does not play RL. That's why the comparables given are what they are.

Valor only has a handful of RL teams but all 100 of their teams pay RL pricing?

100 lol. Not many clubs around here have that. This isn't Texas or SoCal. They probably have half of that.

It does happen a lot and it all works out. If I told you Johnny James was to coach your kid and he has 10 years of coaching experience with XYZ club with an UEFA A license. Doesn't mean he's a good coach or right for your kid.

Somewhat disagree. When this issue occurs, it tends to appear and is perceived as more of a revenue effort resulting in substandard training and development.

We all understand there's always going be some slight nuances with vetting a coach, however, providing that up front, some pre-planning and transparency goes along way.

IMO, providing that fidelity early leverages more trust out of the parents in allocating them more decision-making space.

Let's be fair, but maybe just to name a few areas: credentials, certifications and licensing; # of years of experience; player background and education; age and maturity.

Same prices for everyone but will you receive the same service as a youth age group lead coach?

With some of posts here and comments: Coach no shows, absences, quitting mid-season.

All those mentioned speak to management, commitment and proven work ethic.

Seriously, I would hold on to your wallet before dedicating any $$$ to "X" or a variable.

-Would you pay for something you haven't even seen or have a clear understanding of what it would provide.

I am reading it more as concern with there being NO coach which is very different from an unknown coach who was at least hired on time, present at tryouts where parents could meet or at least observe, and he coukd answer questions, and then selects his team.

Any halfway decent coach already has his coaching gig lined up for next year.

They are sending out invites for teams without coaches just with no mention of the coach whatever or that there isn't a coach.

She said they were told there wasn't a coach yet but they would be sent offers within a day. I told her the coach was the most important part and how could she take an offer for a team without knowing the coach? How can they have a team with no coach?

Tell her to reach out to Burke and Herndon

+1. Or BRYC. I don't thnk FPYC has a 2011 team but its worth checking.

Run to another club. No coach. Red /> for sure.
