Tough to deal when your alleged negotiating party just keeps saying no, right? It’s kind of like Trump is seeking peace from the Palestinian side and Demicrats are the Likud Party. No, no, no!

The conman can only con poorly educated people. The deal he offered is no deal. He created the DACA issue by harassing the DACA recipients. And now he offers a deal he won't harass them for 3 years. Thats no deal. Thats hostage taking and blackmailing. He can only fool his cult NOT the rest of the world who can think.

Not sure what to make of this weird word salad.

Not PP. But if you don't understand, maybe you need to take some English language for foreigners course.

Seems like Trump has made a proposal? What is Team Nancy doing to help feds?

The con man hasn't made any proposal. He can't offer a temporary solution for the mess he created in return for a permanent wall. No one but his cult is as stupid to believe he made a proposal. Let him make a REAL proposal, something permanent for a permanent barrier. Thats a start. Until then he owns the shutdown as he proudly proclaimed.

I know, right? The Democrats must have learned a lesson from watching the GOP "party of no" stymie Obama at every step.

I think we’re past the point of pointing out this hypocrisy or that hypocrisy. People are hurting.

No. Instead of that, they should insist on a minimum wage increase and environmental protections. There are many things they can propose. It would be helpful if they could start doing so. Surely, there are some adults left in that party.

+1

Trump couldn’t figure out how to negotiate legislation like an adult so he’s bullying the whole country.

If he wants to negotiate immigration, then do that. It has NOTHING to do with a furlough.

Negotiate? I don't see democrats negotiating. They want things their way all the time. Not this time.

Negotiation while someone holds hostage is called extortion.

Can we eventually sue Trump and GOP for extortion? Asking for a friend!?

Your friend should sue Schumer or Pelosi first.

We have three branches of government that must all agree to pass a funding bill.

1) President

2) House

3) Senate (60 votes)

Paul Ryan's bill had the support of both the president and the house. It probably had the majority support in the senate as well. But Chuck Schumer filibustered it (It needs 60 votes to break a filibuster). So the December shutdown is clearly a Schumer shutdown.

McConnell will bring another bill this week that -- 1) the president will sign and 3) the majority of the senate will support but may not be enough to break the 60-vote filibuster, but 2) Pelosi will not be on board.

Democrats only hold one of the three branches. They need to compromise a little.

This is patently incorrect. It's a Trump/McConnell shutdown. Not a Schumer shutdown.

This. McConnell won’t negotiate and Trump is holding the government hostage. What is there to compromise on? A wall
is a non starter for Dems, though they are willing and have proposed funding to amp up border security. Trump only wants a wall. His vanity project.

A bill was in the works in December and it was TRUMP who said he’d veto it - then McConnell folded and has essentially gone into hiding. This is all Trump and all the GOP.

Paul Ryan's bill had the support of 2 out of the 3 branches. Technically it's Schumer who shut down the government.

McConnel's bill this week likewise will have the support of 2 out of the 3 branches (not counting filibuster).

When you have three parties that need to agree on one thing, and two out of the three agree, logically it is the one who disagrees should get the blame.

Remember the senator from India.

Democrats expanded legal immigration and encourage illegal immigration, All in the name of votes. ICE wanted this for investment in the border before Democrats made it political. Democrats have abandoned the middle class in favor or urban elites and the elites continue to say f’ck you to the workers.

And Because of this the Democrats gave away 3 Supreme Court choices. We need leaders that will fight for workers and not increased immigration/DACA.

Democrats need to push the H-6B visa for neighbors of a green card holder. Neighbors that can show they grew up within the same village of a green card holder should be allowed to join Hexaware and get a job in the US. It is their right. We Democrats owe this to the people of the world.

Offer 50 billion for a israeli style southern border for israeli style national health care system.

If Jared really cares about the US as much as he does about israel, he should be highly supportive of this.

That’s a clown comment.

Why? It's a fair trade - the R base biggest bugaboo is the wall and the D base is health care.

Make a grand bargain. National health care for wall. Luckily there's a successful country that's managed both and that the WH has a great relationship with.

A $75B wall is not going to solve ANY of the issues that currently exist at the border. None. Why do so-called fiscal conservatives want to go through 25 years of eminent domain lawsuits and blow even more of a hole inf the debt and deficit for this? Answer - the don't. They just don't want to stand up to Trump. If they had wanted this, it would have happened a year or two ago. And why isn't Mexico paying for it as Trump pledged?

^^Remember, the only deal your art of the deal guy has reliably succeeded at over and over again and driving things into bankruptcy.
