I don’t see this. She didn’t vote yes to the deal so that she could be taken care of by Tom. She’s a billionaire on her own and does not need Tom’s money, even his CEO money. After the GoJo deal, she’s even richer because Matsson is giving them above market price for shares.

I think she really just realized/remembered that Kendall would be a train wreck as CEO, plus started thinking about her baby and whatever semblance of family she has. She What would she gain, really, with Kendall as CEO? Spiting Tom (father of her child) and Matsson. But nothing really for her. She made a rational choice after toying with making an emotional choice. But there really are not a lot of Caroline parallels.

Also I don’t think Tom hates Shiv (though she probably hates him, for betraying her multiple times in pursuit of money/power).

It’s like Tom explained— he loves Shiv but she’s not a sure thing and she withholds. Tom wants security and doesn’t want to lose his wealth or status. The irony is that if Shiv had simply committed to Tom, truly, in their marriage, he likely would have supported her in doing whatever she wanted, even becoming CEO, because he does love her AND it would have made him feel secure in her as his meal ticket. He’s not actually ambitious in the sense that he wants to run things— he agreed to be Matsson’s empty suit in the US in exchange for the title (and paycheck) of CEO. He just wants security and money and would have been easy to placate, but Shiv couldn’t give him what he wanted/needed so he got it elsewhere.

Didn’t love this ending. Winding up with Tom was disappointing and predicted by so many. Sad the way the kids were torn apart yet again at the end.

I feel depressed after watching that.

Man, that was an amazing finale.

I thought for sure Kendall was going to drown while at his mother's house. That whole scene seemed like a setup for it.

Gotta say Roman was perfect until the very end. I don't know if it's breaking the fourth wall or something else when a character is self-referential about what is being said in the real world about their character. His whole - we are bull$H!T was an amazing moment. I was bummed not to see and hear more of Gerri this episode, but Roman avoiding her was very spot on. Loved him ordering the martini at the end.

Shiv, Shiv, Shiv. Always out in the cold because she's the girl. Always underestimating Tom, which was ultimately her undoing. Her trajectory would be fascinating to see.

Kendall falling apart was so on brand. Sad but very much deserved. And I'm calling credit for predicting Colin would transfer his loyalty to Kendall. So much for the idea that Colin hated him. But that thing about Kendall's kids was brutal. Just brutal.

I was surprised to see Tom come out on top, but it makes sense in a lot of ways. Interesting that Shiv felt that was her best way forward.

I hated the ending. By the end I was team siblings and hated Tom.

Kendall lost this children in pursuit of the approval of a horrible man that had said awful things about his children.
