Its so annoying as if one program which offers a few more hours than another all of sudden becomes custodial care or the pre-K kids in a place with all day schedules somehow give less pre-K education. Every mom should pick the place that they like the best and stop trying to label all the others.

It is!
Do these $800 strollers have airbags?

This made me giggle. Not because of your comment, I completely agree with it, but because of my life. I hate all things girly, and yet my DD refuses to wear pants (I think I own two skirts), and loves pink and purple. Her brother feels the same way, and he sleeps in pink and purple night gowns.
I love this post too. I notice that a lot of little girls in my neighborhood wear very expensive dress-up ballet tutu skirts to the PARK. With sequined shoes and tiaras. They're in the sandboxes in these outfits. I kid you not.
In which neighborhood does this occur?

Not the fault of the other mother that is teaching her child how to coorperate and get along in the world for trying to share at the park (or "life", as you like to call it.)
How sad and pathertic this mother is. She and her daughter must be very, very lonely.....another reason why mom does not know how to share. I feel sorry for her daughter.
(now wait for it - - she will post any minute now about how she has more friends than anyone she knows.....
YOU are the kind of mother that I abhor running into at a playground. Every freakin 5 seconds you are correcting your kid to share this or share that or give a turn or something. RELAX. A kid can wait 5, 10 even a whole 15 or 20 minutes for a turn. Its a playground for goodness sakes! Find something else to do instead of harrassing your kid and trying to prove your parenting abilites. Worse is when we run into one of you at a place like Barnes&Noble with that train table. The poor kid can't play for 2 mintues before they are being harped.

All carseats have to meet minimum government standards, but for some reason, due to their excellent marketing, everyone thinks they make the best car seat. In reality, they have the second highest percentage (as a brand) of recalls as other car seats. I know that there are always going to be manufacturing glitches and there is no such thing as the perfectly safe product, but to automatically assume that this partcular brand is the best out there is just wrong...wrong..wrong! britax does not do a lot of marketing...they get a ton of it through word of mouth. and free marketing is the best marketing out there!

Not saying that..but most people that shop at Giant and Safeway know the produce is not coming from a small farm. Whole Foods does an excellent job swaying consumers to think their produce is as natural and fresh as if you grew it yourself. People automatically assume that paying more means better quality. I was in Dean and Deluca a few weeks ago doing research and had to laugh that they were selling a jar of imported olives from Greece for $17. My neighbor is Greek and she was with me at the time and she told me that particular brand sells for a couple dollars in Greece and no one would be caught dead with it on their table.
