Yes, I'll lie about our family's travel because it's nobody's business what we do when our kids aren't in school.
Deal with it.
You may lie and still sleep well at night, but I'd prefer to be honest. I guess I'm just a better person than you.
My child will be at an unmasked indoor event in FL in fall. I sure as hell wouldn't want him around a kid in school has done the same. We'll follow the regulations, even if that means missing school sadly.
I think the vast majority of people who will keep their travel quiet aren’t going to unmasked events in Florida. They are visiting grandma in Pennsylvania, or going to the beach in Delaware. I would hope that most people who are actually doing something risky would abide by the policies. Who wants their kid to be the one that brings Covid into the school?
Well I'm also going to opt out of testing for my kid, so we'll never know if it was my kid!

Maybe you are.
Your sense of self-righteousness plus $4 will buy you a latte.
Definitely a better person - I'm not encouraging my kids to lie. What terrible parenting and values. "Hey kids, going on vacation is SO important that we are going to risk your health and the health of your classmates. If you or one of them dies from COVID, oh well, at least I got my vacation." Seriously messed up.
NP but is this really how you see things? Leave the DMV and you will kill people with COVID, but stay in the DMV ( which includes the cluster that is the Eastern Shore) and you are an honest good person who won’t kill anyone.”
NP, but it's just the pandemic morality identity that some have adopted. I suppose the uncertainty of the pandemic made people need to cling to rules to make them feel safe, not matter how non-sensical the rules. The added bonus is getting to look down on others!
I personally didn't need a pandemic to look down on others who lie and encourage their children to do so! If you all want to go to Florida and get COVID, go for it. Just don't give it to my kid. I don't care if you kill your own kids.

And here is the problem: the need and want of a vacation. You should have taken one when your kids were all doing DL last year in the fall. Two weeks at the beach was fantastic. Need I say anything else?
