They just poached Pride Red 2025 and are calling them Capital Blue, and took Stars Light Blue 2025 and are calling them Capital Orange.

Not accurate a mix of STARS Navy and BLUE on Capital Blue. Pride sprinkled on both as well!

Can’t wait to see how the FALL games go!

It’s Capital, they will learn to lose like the rest of their teams. Can’t do anything about bad mojo and coaching.

That didn't take long for the disgruntled Pride folks to appear.....

Stick a fork in Prides HS program. That experiment ended last night.

They’ve already posted the rosters?

They haven’t had tryouts yet. Hmmm

I meant over the last few years. I know a goalie went a couple of years ago and I am hearing a few more intend on trying out. My point was simply to figure out which made more sense logistically.

This year they practiced a lot at Word of Grace off Rt 28. It might vary by team somewhat but for Spring that was the go to spot. Some teams also go to Madeira.

Not any more. Here, I'll even help you out: https://iwlca.teamsportsinfo.com/g8-summer-2021/Schedules/Index?use_ag_options=true&use_ad_options=false&use_cl_options=true&use_f_options=false&use_gd_options=true&use_ts_options=false&hide_points=true&show_divs_menu=true&show_brackets=true#

Hero's, YJ, SW, STEPS, Monster, Mass Elite, Capital/Stars, TLC, MDU, Maryland Select, SJS, PT - all at G8.

Please post the Stars/Capital scores. They haven't been winning much....
hi

Atleast they play it the top brackets against the top competition. It isn’t about club teams winning/losing all the time. It’s getting the girls exposure and scene for recruiting (atleast for a good majority of the players). If your goal is to see your DD win games against subpar competition then pride or YJ mid Atlantic is a perfect fit

Pride should stick to playing a bunch of no names. Guess it sucks to get locked out of G8.

Lets also remember that any Nike sponsored club can get in. From a recruiting perspective, though, there will be more coaches at G8 than mid-atlantic summer.

In fact, from a recruiting perspective it goes

1) Lax for the Cure
2) Nike G8
3) Live love lax
4) Mid atlantic
5) IWLCA Champions Cup

As someone who knows some of the college coaches, they prefer the G8 and recruiting there as it is easy for them to see lots of teams in one spot, with fields right next to each other, and not a 10 minute walk away or spread out. With the small setup, they can even watch two games at once. They care nothing about the results and they come cause the clubs that are there have historically sent top talent to their schools and many see much of the same in the current crop. Many games at the G8 had a who's who of college coaches on the sideline this weekend. As long as the clubs that are there are producing talent, the coaches will keep coming back.
