I heard there was a large turnout at the tryouts in that age group.

coach told me that the other coaches where saying that 2010b had one of the biggest turnout ever, in any age group or gender.

Arlington can thank McLean for mishandling tryouts and offers in this age group, which has forced players to look at other options/clubs. There were a lot of players that did not show up for today's practice for the top two teams. For those who showed up, there was a line of parents to talk to the age group coordinator after the practice. And they did not look particularly happy.

Which practice had the line to talk to age group coordinator ? McLean or Arlington?

So many red flags in one paragraph, none of which reflect on the coaches or club. Why on earth would I ever wanna be around parents like this. Go somewhere else if you like and can. Just stay away from our club.

You are very arrogant and probably do not even have a kid in this age group. My kid is talking to his teammates who either don't have an offer or have offers to low level teams, some two levels down. Many tried out at Arlington. My kid got an offer from McLean and we did not try out with Arlington, but many of his teammates were at Arlington tryouts.

+1 McLean completely mishandled their tryouts. Communication and execution weren’t just poor, it was incompetent.

So given there were like 60 girls at that tryout - how do they have room for girls given only 5 teams with existing players? So if they added 5 players on to each team that's still a lot less than the 60 that were there.

Was it uber competitive for the spots this year?

It is competitive every year, most kids will be offered a spot on one of the teams

I think it's at least 70 kids this year. 13-15 for each team.
