Unbelievable. There’s always some BS reason for this sh!t. Other than, you know, effing PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

The guy was an a$$hole with a gun. Gentrification, systemic racism, or not enough hugs did not lead to this. His a$$holery did. Full stop.

So if someone almost runs over you and your child on a scooter, you just cower and hide? Do you also apologize for being in their way? You have to understand that not everyone is as cowardly as you. You can’t expect that level of submissiveness from your average person.


I absolutely understand that it’s hard to control how you react in a confrontation or emergency. But yes, everyone living in a city needs to be cautious and know when to get away or stay away.

Well, no sh*t, Sherlock. But we have the benefit of hindsight. Most people don’t shoot you and your child after they almost run you over on their scooter.

They should have done exactly what they did do. The family’s actions were not the problem.

Antonin Scalia and the Roberts court did this to DC. They made up an individual right to own guns. They did this to help their donors and gain political advantage in red areas outside DC.

So how would making legal guns illegal, help with this issue? Your perp would illegally access an illegal gun. Would that make you feel better? If the Mayor wants to tackle gun violence, one method would be to call for an inquiry into why so many DC gun charges are simply dropped by prosecutors. Now that is a problem that affects us all.


Canada, Australia, and even Russia effectively ban handguns. We could do this too. And then it would be much more difficult to acquire illegal handguns, and there would be fewer of them.

This isn't hard. Every other country in the world, that's not run by one party ruled by billionaires who flood our streets with guns for votes, does this.
