I'm fully vaccinated.
What rational, scientific reason is there for me to keep wearing a mask?
+1
There's some small number of immune compromised people posting on here that the country should always wear masks forever because it will help them. Then there's the people complaining that their 11 year old can't get vaccinated therefore we should wear masks until they can get both doses of the vaccine + 2 weeks. The real solution is a lot easier. People that are vaccinated and those with children under 12 (including me) that are willing to take the chance of going out in public unmasked with our children can do so. I understand there's a non-zero chance my kid could get severe COVID but that chance, while not zero, is actually very close to it. I'm willing to take that risk just as I'm willing to take them to swimming pools where they have a non-zero chance of death. As for the immune compromised, well it's back to regular life for them. We didn't build a special bubble world for them prior to COVID and they could have died of flu or pneumonia then, why would we build a special bubble world now? Be responsible for yourself.

Sorry science deniers, I will continue to go to the store w/o a mask and everywhere else I go.
Sorry if you are immunocompromised etc. etc. The world can't revolve about each person's individual needs.
Honestly - Generation Y and Z are barely having sex, let alone kids. Like PP, they are deep in their narcissistic feelings. You can’t really expect them to care about kids or sick people. Obvi maskless selfies with din-din are more important.
Oh please. You're just a typical Karen control freak. Let me guess, you avoid eating peanuts in public at a restaurant because you're worried about kids who may have severe peanut allergies too, right? Where does it end?

What rational, scientific reason is there for pitching fits about how you refuse to ever wear a mask ever again?
DP..ask Fauci and Gayle why it's fine to unmask. They are the experts, remember?
That answers a different question. Fauci and Gayle did not say that it's fine to have tantrums if people nonetheless ask you to wear a mask.

Yeah, this is spot on. These people were more at risk in Jan and Feb when everyone had their masks on, due to the high levels of spread at that time.
If everyone had had their masks on in January and February, then there wouldn't have been high levels of spread.
come on, this thread is about MoCo.
In Jan & Feb I never once saw a single person without a mask on. And we had a peak just like other places.

Right. Like we were going to "flatten the curve" in 14 days. It's always 14 more days.
Sorry, I'm done. I've tossed all of my masks and will not wear one again.
