Neither team wants to lose their charter for not being competitive and splitting the best players among both does not achieve either goal.
I wonder if they're desperately trying to draw BRYC into the union too...
They already drew in at least three players to the 2011G top team from BRYc for next season, and at least one of those is a 2012. But looks like those kids will play for the infamous Jaon so scratching head about that decision.
Pretty amazing to me that for that age group, parents (presumably in the Fairfax area) are willing to drive to McLean for soccer.
I guess I don't love my kids enough!
You don't. Parents in Fairfax drive to Arlington which is as bad as driving to McLean.

2007 heard too. LOL about the 2009 parents - pretty sure they all think they are fielding the next olympian.
Anything regarding 2006?

The MLS team is separate. The best SYC kids will play for that team, not available to McLean kids unless they went to SYC’s MLS tryout, got an offer and left McLean. ECNL is essentially the best of McLean, plus SYC B-teamers, plus any outsiders. SYC’s MLS teams should be better than VA Union teams.
