Are your kids reporting mean girl behavior to you or are you going by your own middle school experience or what you see in movies? My daughter tells me there are different tiers of popular at her school and that everyone just has their own group of friends. She be her own report is not "top tier" popular but she has had a great middle school experience even with the pandemic and has never had issues with girls being mean to her. Girls not necessarily being inclusive does not equal mean or bullying

To recap, in our experience:
1. Boys can be just as mean as girls and often more violent.
2. Fathers as well as mothers contribute to poor social skills and bullying.
3. Good School- home partnerships and communication really important for combatting wode spread bullying among both girls and boys.

Acting mean in MS is widespread among both girls and boys and ignoring it does not help. Mental health crisis and suicide among youth right now. Addressing
Bullying is critical.

I was miserable in middle school. I can still replay the taunts and pranks in my mind and immediately feel like dirt.
