Huh? Everyone uses the bypass because there is no other choice if you are going north on GA.

However it is STILL not finished and one of the local roads is still closed.

How would he cancel a completed road?

It's not an interstate it's a 2 lane highway south of this to Olney and a two lane road north of this all the way to Carroll county. Putting in interchanges would wipe out half the town it was meant to bypass.

Not true at all, you don't know civil engineering and it shows, Larla. You can build a folded diamond interchange and bridges compact enough to where it provides limited access to the bypass.

That's not how it goes

Stupidest comment on the thread. I hope it was in jest.

It's been done for months

If you’ve actually driven on it you’ll know that it’s not done. It’s like they forgot to add the final layer of asphalt. Road looks and feels unfinished.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they abandon the last leg of the project. They’ll do a “study” and determine the existing portion of the bypass is sufficient.

This was such a waste of money and destroyed so many trees/woodlands.

I feel like I’m talking in circles here. It’s not completed. There’s a portion of Brookeville road and the round about that is still closed and not completed.

You keep repeating yourself, but no one has provided an answer. You can stop posting that. Just follow along here:
https://mdot-sha-md97-brookeville-bypass-mo7465171-r-maryland.hub.arcgis.com/#Updates

The above site will have posted information before anywhere else. No one is going to be able to give you an answer until the MDOT decides to post an update.

What a waste of funds, this could have been better used in baltimore or western MD
