I would think once you've lost control of the car anyone could press the wrong pedal.

This can happen to anyone really. I'm 35 and a pretty safe driver and can recall this happening once or twice. Never in a situation that was particularly dangerous but still, people get distracted and make mistakes.

Did you keep holding down the wrong pedal until you drove off the road at 40 mph above the speed limit? That doesn’t happen to everyone, contrary to what you might think.

Oh, and 100% the hospital ran a tox screen before surgery. If the police get PC, they'll be able to find out. Tiger could also, if he wished, ask the hospital to release the results.

My guess is that they will show a standard therapeutic dose of pain meds (recent back surgery post-which he hadn't yet been cleared for golf activity and racing around doing press/charity work = taking pain meds). I bet it wasn't more than he was prescribed, but of course any pain meds can dull your reaction time. It's still legal to drive on them for most prescribed drugs/in most locations. So I bet the blood tests would just give people more ammunition for his fault or not depending on what they went in thinking. My view is it probably played a contributory role in the crash, because of the dulled reaction time, but probably was not the major cause.

Not no breaks, no break (skid) marks. Some cars don't leave them and there wouldn't be any once he was on the grass. More info will come out about the accident in time, but everyone agrees he was majorly speeding (probably because he was running 30 minutes late). On that stretch of road, which is super dangerous, that would be more than enough.

I know the road where he crashed and it is dangerous. But Tiger used to live not far from there, so I'm sure he knows that road too. Seems unlikely to me that this was a run of the mill accident.

You can’t collect a persons blood unless you have probable cause.
